We can provide you with a contact for renting a beach wheelchair (daily or by the week) during your stay. The chair will be delivered to you and later picked up from Surfside.
We also have information on an accessible fishing charter if you are interested.
If you or someone in your family needs true wheelchair accessibility, you've come to the right place!
We completed a total renovation at the end of 2004 and made our condo as accessible as we could to accommodate wheelchair users. We widened doorways, put in all tile flooring, made a roll-in shower and roll-under sink in the master suite, installed a roll-under & height adjustable sink in the kitchen and even bought a wheelchair friendly refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom.
We also have a custom-made ramp that can easily be set up and removed for access to the balcony. Balcony access is a neccessity for all guests. You can spend hours out there relaxing and enjoying the awesome view, eating meals, reading, sunning, etc!
The accessibilty features we added should be mostly transparent to the able-bodied guest. So if you don't need wheelchair access, don't worry about it. We just wanted to provide a comfortable, enjoyable, hassle-free vacation place for all of our guests including those with physical challenges!
